Neckarstraße 51, 69412 Eberbach
The Grüner Baum is a small family run inn with guest rooms on Neckarstraße in Eberbach, on the river side of the town and a little over four kilometres from Allemühl in a straight line. The family describes its cooking as Mediterranean and German, with a strong thread of homemade Balkan grill dishes, and puts the emphasis on fresh ingredients, good craft and regional produce where it can. The menu reads like a meeting point of those kitchens. To start there are prawns on avocado cream with garlic baguette, goat's cheese baked in pastry with walnuts and honey, grilled peppers under melted cheese, bruschetta, and a cold platter of smoked meat from Croatia with cheeses and warm homemade pastries. The Balkan section is the heart of it: cevapcici, raznjici pork skewers, pljeskavica stuffed with sheep's cheese, a mixed grill plate and a grill platter for two with lamb chop, grilled vegetables, ajvar and djuvec rice, best eaten with a shopska salad of tomato, cucumber, pepper and white cheese. For those who prefer something else there is tagliata, rump steak, calf's liver, goulash, schnitzel with homemade spätzle, pasta such as truffle tagliatelle or spaghetti with mussels, and fish from salmon and gratinated pike perch to octopus. Desserts include homemade tiramisu and a lemon tartufo with limoncello. In good weather the large beer garden is open, and the house sits close to the Neckar. The restaurant opens in the evenings and from midday on Sundays and public holidays, closes on Tuesdays, and takes bookings for birthdays, weddings and family celebrations. It suits families and groups who want a hearty, generous dinner after a day on the river or the Neckar cycle path.

Alter Markt 1, 69412 Eberbach
The Karpfen sits on the Alter Markt, the old market square of Eberbach, and is hard to miss: its front is covered in sgraffito pictures telling the history of the town, made in 1934 by the artist Richard Hemberger at the suggestion of the innkeeper of the day, Karl Sittig. The house was built in 1804 and has stayed in the same family ever since. Its forebears ran a large timber business, and the inn grew out of hosting the forest owners who came to trade. Over the decades a guest house was joined to the main building, and in the 1990s the family bought the half timbered house next door, one of the oldest in town and once a guild house. Large parts of both are listed. Today it is a hotel with around fifty rooms and a restaurant, where the kitchen is led by master chef and junior owner Patrick Jung. The cooking is regional and changes with the seasons, and the house names its sources: beef from Hesselbach, asparagus from Schwetzingen, wild garlic picked by the team and fresh trout from Friedrichsdorf. The autumn menu shows the style, with pumpkin soup, clear beef broth with bacon semolina dumplings, homemade Maultaschen, ragout of game and venison medallions from the Eberbach hunt with poppy seed Schupfnudeln, braised veal cheeks, turbot from the grill, and vegetarian dishes such as spinach and ricotta ravioli. Desserts include apple fritters and a vanilla crème brûlée. In summer the terrace spreads out across the market square. Cyclists on the Neckar route are welcome to stay a single night, with a lockable room for bikes. The restaurant opens in the evening early in the week and from midday at weekends.

Friedrichstraße 5-9, 69412 Eberbach
Café Viktoria is the old pastry house of Eberbach, on Friedrichstraße in the town centre, a short drive from Allemühl. It began in 1886, when the master baker Heinrich Strohauer opened a small bakery with a wine room. His son turned it into a café and wine tavern in 1923, the third generation took over as a master confectioner in 1954, and in 1958 the business moved into the building it still occupies. Since 2022 the Camaj family has run the house. The house speciality is the Viktoria von Eberbach torte: fine sponge with a soft cream filling and a note of orange. It goes back to 1962, when Heinrich Strohauer attended a banquet at the Swedish royal court and was taken with an orange dessert served there; a year later one of his tortes was sent by airmail to Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. Around Christmas the house is known for its Viktoria Christstollen, and both can be ordered through the online shop. The café has about a hundred seats inside, a garden café with around sixty more and a street café with about forty, the outdoor ones depending on the weather. Breakfast is served every day except Sunday until two in the afternoon, with bread rolls, a sweet pastry, homemade jams, honey, cold cuts and cheese. On Sundays and public holidays a breakfast buffet runs until one, adding fruit salad, yoghurt, muesli, herb quark, boiled and scrambled eggs, salmon and tomato with mozzarella. Tables can be reserved, and groups of more than ten are catered for by arrangement on the phone. The café is open daily without a closing day, which makes it an easy morning or afternoon stop on any day of a stay.

Lindenplatz 1, 69412 Eberbach
The Altes Badhaus stands on the Lindenplatz in the traffic calmed old town of Eberbach, about four and a half kilometres from Allemühl. It is a listed building with half timbering outside and rustic cross vaults inside, and the house describes itself as the oldest bath house in Germany. Today it is a small hotel with a restaurant, run by a team that signs as La Grotta. Guests eat in one of three settings: the Badstube under the old vaulted ceiling, the half timbered Fachwerkstube on the upper floor, or in summer on the town terrace under the lime trees of the square, where the house also serves coffee and cake in the afternoon and keeps drinks going for cyclists and walkers. The kitchen calls its line regional and Mediterranean, and the current menu leans clearly Italian. Starters include beetroot carpaccio with burratina from Bari, anchovies and nuts, vitello tonnato, beef carpaccio and a seafood salad. Among the pasta dishes are orecchiette with meatballs and a beef roulade in the Apulian style, gnocchi with mussels, beans and pepperoncino, tagliatelle allo scoglio and spaghetti carbonara alla Romana. From the grill come a large bistecca with rosemary potatoes, a beef fillet with Barolo jus and fried chanterelles, and bollito di manzo with horseradish; there is also a pork fillet with pretzel dumplings and a wild mushroom sauce. Children can choose a small schnitzel, tortellini or a pinsa. Tables can be reserved online, and the rooms take private parties of up to fifty people, from weddings and birthdays to company dinners. The restaurant also caters events in Eberbach and the surrounding area, and parties outside the regular hours can be arranged with the team.

Neuer Markt 5, 69412 Eberbach
Café Rose is run by two sisters, Melanie and Madeline, on the Neuer Markt in the middle of Eberbach. The address has a long story: an inn has stood here since 1823, the Brauerei Gasthaus zur Rose, where the local Rosenbräu beer was first brewed and where travellers, traders and townspeople sat together late into the night. The sisters took up the name and turned the place into a café built around breakfast, cake and an easy afternoon. Breakfast is the main event, sweet or savoury, classic or a little more inventive, and two of the breakfasts come in a vegan version as well. Gluten free rolls are available with any breakfast, and there is usually a gluten free cake in the display, though the house points out that it has only one kitchen. The cake counter is filled every day with homemade cakes, small tarts and pastries. On weekdays from half past eleven to two there is a lunch bowl that changes daily, which can be eaten in, ordered ahead by phone or taken away. In summer there are iced drinks from iced latte to matcha, and white wine, rosé and spritz for the terrace. The sunny terrace sits right on the square. Inside, a play corner with a toy kitchen and books keeps small children busy, dogs on a lead are welcome and get a bowl of water, and a side entrance, a toilet and several tables are accessible for wheelchair users. Tables can be reserved by phone, email, Instagram or the form on the website; requests for the next morning should arrive by six the evening before. Birthdays, christenings and other small celebrations can be held in the café by arrangement. Payment is in cash or by German debit card.

Obala palih omladinaca 5b, 22000 Šibenik
Bronzin is a waterfront restaurant on Šibenik's riva, where open-fire cooking sits alongside Adriatic seafood and contemporary Mediterranean dishes. Opened in 2019, it takes its name from the traditional cooking pot suspended above a fire. The restaurant's own account connects that idea with the Dalmatian hinterland and the habit of gathering around food, giving its broad menu a recognisable regional centre. The current menu moves from small plates to substantial mains. Starters include scampi carpaccio with pistachio, tuna carpaccio with orange, burrata and vegetable mezze. Black cuttlefish risotto, veal risotto and linguine with clams provide several first-course options. Seafood choices include local mussels, baked sardines and sea bass cooked in paper with courgette and carrot. Fire and slower preparation come into focus in the meat selection. Lamb chops, smoked tenderloin, Black Slavonian pork and ćevapi are listed alongside burgers. Peka dishes require advance ordering: the menu includes veal, lamb, octopus and monkfish cooked under the traditional bell. Discuss the dish, timing and party size when booking rather than leaving a special preparation to the last moment. The terrace looks towards the Šibenik Channel, and the restaurant also caters for private gatherings. Bronzin advertises year-round operation, making it worth considering outside the busiest holiday weeks. Contact the team for current service times and peka availability. Its waterfront address provides a straightforward starting point for combining a meal with a visit to the old town.

Buta Restaurant & Bar belongs to Armerun Heritage Hotel on Šibenik's waterfront, beneath the Bilinić Arch. Its offer changes through the day: breakfast and brunch give way to sushi, Mediterranean mezze and evening drinks. The hotel welcomes outside visitors for breakfast too, so a stay elsewhere does not prevent you from making this a morning stop. Breakfast is prepared à la carte, with eggs, granola, pastries and vegetarian choices among the options described by the restaurant. Its own presentation highlights eggs Benedict, white polenta and a baked crêpe with white caramel. Brunch runs into the late morning, allowing a more leisurely meal before continuing through the old town. The evening menu takes a sharing approach. Vegetable mezze include aubergine with ricotta and pesto, roasted peppers with cheese, and muhammara made with peppers and walnuts. Seafood choices include tuna tartare, white-fish ceviche and octopus with potato-and-pepper purée. The sushi selection covers nigiri, sashimi and rolls, with combination platters for those who want several styles at one table. Croatian cheeses and cured meats add another way to build a meal, while cocktails and wine accompany the evening offer. The dining setting includes a terrace with sea views. Contact Buta for the service you want and confirm the day's times, as brunch and dinner follow separate schedules. If you are bringing a group, agreeing on the time and preferred style of meal will help the team arrange a suitable table.

Obala dr. Franje Tuđmana 3, 22000 Šibenik
Konoba Tomaseo is on Obala dr. Franje Tuđmana, with a terrace overlooking the water in Šibenik. The restaurant presents its cooking as Croatian and Mediterranean, with fish, meat and pasta across the menu. Outdoor tables and an air-conditioned interior give diners a choice of setting for lunch or dinner, depending on the weather and the pace of the day. Seafood appears from the start of the meal. The menu published by the restaurant includes octopus salad, shrimp pâté, marinated anchovies, tuna tartare and sea-bass carpaccio. Warm dishes include black cuttlefish risotto and Adriatic shrimp risotto. Homemade pasta also features, with spinach-and-curd ravioli and fuži paired with black truffle among the listed combinations. For a main course, the fish section offers grilled fish, squid, tuna steak and scampi. Monkfish with homemade fuži provides another preparation beyond the grill. The meat selection includes beef stew with gnocchi, grilled lamb, veal and several steak dishes, so a group can choose quite different meals without splitting between restaurants. Ask the kitchen which fish and pasta preparations are available on the day. Tomaseo takes reservations by telephone and email and also offers food to take away. Wi-Fi is listed among its facilities. Its published hours extend from late morning into the night, but it is sensible to confirm kitchen service when planning a late meal. When enquiring, mention whether you want a terrace table, indoor seating or a takeaway collection.

Ulica kralja Tomislava 15A, 22000 Šibenik
Restoran Šjor is in Šibenik's old town at Ulica kralja Tomislava 15A. Its name uses the Dalmatian word for a gentleman, and the restaurant describes its approach as Mediterranean cooking with a modern touch. The menu offers several ways to explore that idea, from a shared seafood starter to a regional risotto or a substantial meat dish. The cold fish platter brings together smoked tuna, marinated prawns, octopus salad, salted anchovies and smoked mussels. A Dalmatian platter takes a different route through prosciutto and regional cheeses. Warm choices include black cuttlefish risotto and Skradin risotto, the traditional slow-cooked veal preparation, as well as mussels buzara-style. Sea bream, sea-bass fillet, tuna steak and grilled squid appear among the main dishes. Pasta choices include beef and truffle pljukanci, seafood tagliatelle and ricotta-and-spinach ravioli. There are also steak, chicken roulade, pork ribs and a vegetable burger. The range makes Šjor useful when a table wants both coastal dishes and alternatives to fish. The restaurant publishes its menu in Croatian, English, German and Italian, with an allergen key to help guests compare dishes. Tell the team about dietary requirements before ordering. Table enquiries can be made by telephone or WhatsApp; the published à la carte service ends before the restaurant itself closes. When booking a late dinner, confirm the kitchen time so you can settle in and choose comfortably.

Biskupa Fosca 11, 22000 Šibenik
Konoba Nostalgija is a family restaurant at Biskupa Fosca 11 in Šibenik. Established in 2011, it connects its identity with the work of the farmer and fisherman. The format is a meal of at least two courses per person, making it a place to give some time to rather than planning around a single quick plate. The compact menu is divided into cold dishes, warm dishes and dessert. Cold choices include cheese, liver with pickled onion, smoked mussels with cucumber, salted anchovies with tomato and a dried-tomato pâté. These combinations put a small number of ingredients at the centre of each dish and offer several different ways to begin. Warm dishes continue the same direct approach. The menu lists prawns with courgette, sea bass with pumpkin, veal with tomato sauce and bacon with polenta. Gnocchi with crumbs and ćevap with sweet potato provide further choices. For dessert, Bajadera and figs prepared with alcohol are listed. Ask the team which dishes are available for your visit and how best to arrange the courses around your appetite. Nostalgija's family background and Mediterranean focus are also described in Šibenik's official visitor guide. For planning, use the restaurant's Biskupa Fosca address and contact it directly about service times and a table. Mention dietary requirements before choosing: the restaurant directs guests to staff for ingredient and allergen information. Its course-based format is particularly useful to understand when arranging dinner for a group.

Mon–Sun 10:00–23:00
Restoran Dubašnica is on Novo Naselje in Malinska, with a Croatian kitchen, a terrace and an air conditioned dining room. The combination gives guests a choice between eating outside in warm weather and settling indoors for a meal. Its cooking includes local dishes, pizza and vegetarian specialties, so a table can bring together people with different tastes without making everyone choose the same style of food. Fresh fruit is another part of the offer, whether eaten between meals or at the end. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and also prepares food to take away, a useful option for visitors staying in a nearby apartment or holiday home. Guests can reserve a table by telephone. For a larger gathering, the restaurant makes its rooms available for private celebrations and offers help arranging wedding receptions. Those occasions are planned directly with the team, allowing the visit to be organized around the people coming together. Practical facilities include free parking in front of the restaurant, an entrance without barriers and complimentary wireless internet. Pets are welcome, and there is a separate smoking area. For holidaymakers, these details make it possible to plan around more than the food alone: whether someone is bringing an animal, arriving by car or choosing between a shared restaurant meal and something to carry home. Dubašnica combines those everyday conveniences with the option of arranging a more personal celebration.

Obala 42, 51511 Malinska
Beleca Food&more sits on Obala in the center of Malinska, beside the marina. Its menu brings together Neapolitan pizza, burgers, meat and fish dishes, with coffee and cocktails alongside the food. Pizza starts with San Marzano tomatoes and fior di latte mozzarella. The Margherita adds basil, extra virgin olive oil and Grana Padano, while the Capricciosa brings cooked ham, mushrooms, oregano and Kalamata olives. There is also a substantial choice beyond pizza. Beef tagliata comes sliced with arugula, cherry tomatoes, Grana Padano and balsamic vinegar. A classic beef burger combines lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion and burger sauce in a brioche bun, with a cheeseburger variation for those who want it. A vegetable burger offers another direction, using tomato, lettuce, arugula and pesto. Grilled sea bass or gilthead bream fillet is paired with grilled vegetables, olive oil and lemon, while chicken is filled with prosciutto and cheese and served with a creamy mushroom sauce. Starters include steak tartare with toast and butter, a platter of prosciutto and cheeses, and burrata with arugula and tomatoes. For something smaller, there is focaccia with burrata, mortadella and pistachio pesto. Desserts include cakes, a lava cake and a sweet pizza. Espresso, cappuccino and iced coffee give the drinks menu a familiar coffeehouse side; cocktails range from a Negroni to a Mojito. The waterfront location makes Beleca an option for a meal with friends or a drink beside the marina.

Nikole Tesle 61, 51511 Malinska
Bistro Bukarica occupies the address of an older Malinska tavern on Nikole Tesle. A new team remodeled the premises in 2012, keeping a connection with coastal cooking while developing a more contemporary approach. A partly open kitchen makes the preparation part of the dining room, and the cooking follows seasonal ingredients from regional producers. The kitchen also invites guests to discuss a special menu in advance, including a meal arranged for a particular occasion. One of its distinctive preparations is meat served on a hot volcanic stone. Guests finish their own steak at the table, choosing how far to cook it, with accompaniments and sauces that can be adapted. Regional cheese and prosciutto provide another starting point; the selection varies because the producers work in limited quantities. Handmade pasta is a substantial part of the offer, ranging from island šurlice to ravioli and tortellini. Seafood dishes sit alongside these preparations, and vegetarian choices include peppers filled with couscous. The bistro's history and its modern kitchen give it two overlapping identities: a place connected to the island's familiar food and a restaurant willing to reinterpret it. This makes it a useful choice for a party whose members want different kinds of meal. Rather than choosing solely between fish and meat, guests can build a visit around pasta, a regional starter or the interactive steak preparation. Contacting the team beforehand is the practical way to discuss a tailored menu.

Nikice Gundić 2A, 23242 Posedarje
Konoba Čapa is a tavern on Nikice Gundić in Posedarje, a Dalmatian coastal village beside the Novigrad Sea. Its cooking brings together fresh ingredients, seasonal fish and olive oil from its own mill. During summer, fresh fish is displayed for guests to choose, giving seafood a clear place in the restaurant’s identity. The approach connects naturally with a town where fishing, local food and the production of cured ham remain part of everyday tradition. Breakfast choices include ham with eggs, a cheese omelette, butter and marmalade, freshly baked croissants, and a combination of prosciutto, pancetta, egg and cheese. Lunch and dinner are also part of the offer, with wine available alongside the meal. Outdoor seating provides another way to enjoy the tavern, and takeaway is available for those who prefer to eat elsewhere. The surrounding region has a food culture shaped by the sea and the nearby countryside. Mussels, fish, sheep’s cheese, olive oil and locally produced wine feature in its culinary traditions, while Posedarje is particularly associated with Dalmatian prosciutto. That setting gives context to Čapa’s emphasis on familiar local flavors and its own olive oil. Private celebrations can be arranged with service adapted to the occasion. Practical facilities include parking and free Wi-Fi, pets are welcome, and payment options include cash and cards. The combination suits both an ordinary meal and a gathering organized around a special occasion.

Braće Dežmalj 26, 23242 Posedarje
The restaurant at Hotel Lucija occupies the ground floor of a small family hotel beside the Novigrad Sea in Posedarje. Its setting combines an indoor dining room with a large terrace overlooking the bay. Around seventy people can sit inside, while the terrace accommodates approximately eighty. A small television lounge forms another part of the ground floor. The cooking draws on traditional Dalmatian recipes and ingredients associated with the surrounding coast. Posedarje smoked ham, cheese from the island of Pag, mussels and scampi sit alongside fresh fish and meat dishes. International dishes broaden the selection beyond the regional specialties. This connection to local food fits the village itself: Posedarje has longstanding traditions of fishing, gathering shellfish and producing smoked ham. The hotel also owns a vineyard outside the village and serves its homemade wine and grapes. For visitors interested in the relationship between the landscape and the table, that gives the restaurant another link to its immediate surroundings. The indoor room accommodates organized lunches, business gatherings, smaller weddings and other celebrations. A separate conference hall in the hotel can also be supplied with food and drinks for arranged events. For an individual meal, the terrace places the bay directly in view, with the shoreline forming the backdrop to the dining space. The combination of seafood, regional cured meat and island cheese offers several ways to explore local ingredients within a single meal. The hotel can be contacted directly to discuss restaurant arrangements or a celebration.

Konoba Pece brings together a handmade stone setting and a seafood kitchen in Vinjerac, a fishing village on the Velebit Channel. The restaurant grew from its owner's ambition to create a tavern of his own after traveling and exploring different food cultures. Working with his wife, he collected and carved stone and built the restaurant himself. That personal involvement continues in the kitchen, where local fishermen supply catches that shape the cooking. Dalmatian ingredients provide the foundation, while Spanish food encountered during the chef's travels contributes another strand to the menu. Cold starters include Vinjerac prosciutto, Pag cheese, octopus salad, fish pâté and several preparations of carpaccio. Warm dishes move through cuttlefish black risotto, seafood spaghetti and fisherman's stew, alongside shrimp with mustard seed sauce or chickpeas. The main courses give considerable space to shellfish, squid and octopus. Mussels and scampi come in buzara preparations, while octopus can be grilled or stuffed with prosciutto and cheese. Other combinations include squid filled with cheese, cuttlefish with pancetta and cheese, and shrimp grilled with honey. John Dory, red scorpionfish and anglerfish also appear among the fish dishes. A fisherman's platter is offered for two people. Desserts take a different direction, with grilled figs, apricot wrapped in pastry dough and other pastry selections. Guests can choose between the tavern interior and its stone terrace. Reservations can be requested through a form, with confirmation sent by email, or discussed directly by telephone.

Mon–Sun 12:00–00:00
Gostionica Dalmacija stands on Sv. Jurja in Starigrad-Paklenica, just a few steps from the sea. The restaurant places itself five meters from the shoreline and fifty meters from the town center, giving a meal here a close connection to the waterfront. Its cooking follows a broad Dalmatian tavern approach, combining seafood with familiar meat dishes, pasta and simple starters. Dalmatian prosciutto and a cold meat selection begin the menu, while tomato soup and fish soup offer warmer alternatives. Pasta includes spaghetti with meat sauce or tomato sauce, and the seafood starters feature squid risotto and mussels prepared in white buzara sauce. The fish selection ranges from sea bass and sea bream to grilled mackerel, tuna and John Dory fillet. Squid can be ordered fried or grilled, and scampi appear alongside a mixed fish dish intended for two people. Guests who prefer meat have a separate selection that includes beefsteak, chops, skewers, ćevapčići, pljeskavica, veal liver and grilled chicken. Breaded schnitzel and mixed meat dishes add further choices, including a Dalmacija platter for two. The restaurant also presents a homemade cake as a traditional finish to the meal. Apartments form another part of the same property, but the tavern has its own food menu and table reservation arrangements. Tables can be requested by telephone, email or WhatsApp. Its combination of a central seaside address and a menu covering both fish and meat makes it a practical option for companions with different preferences.

Restaurant Paklenica – Dinko is a family restaurant in Starigrad-Paklenica whose hospitality tradition began in 1965. Local squid and shrimp are central to its identity, and its position on the approach to Paklenica connects the dining room with the area's climbing community. Climbers and other visitors interested in the mountains have long formed part of its clientele. Dinko himself adds a personal connection to that setting, sharing stories about the place, its seafood and the national park. A climbing collection is another distinctive part of the restaurant's story. The surrounding town brings together two different landscapes: the Adriatic shoreline and the steep country of Velebit. Starigrad is a gathering place for walkers, climbers and visitors exploring the nearby canyons, so a meal here can fit naturally into a day spent between the coast and the mountains. The restaurant's own introduction keeps the emphasis on its family history and seafood rather than an elaborate account of individual dishes. Squid and shrimp are therefore the clearest starting points for guests interested in its established specialties. Larger groups need to reserve ahead, allowing the family to prepare for their arrival. Parking is available near the restaurant, and payment can be made in cash or by credit card. German, Italian and English are among the languages spoken. The family also provides accommodation in a separate building nearby, extending the hospitality business beyond the restaurant itself. Restaurant inquiries have their own telephone number and email contact, separate from inquiries about rooms.

Ribarska obala 13, 51512 Njivice
Tue–Fri 12:00–21:00; Sat 12:00–22:00; Sun 12:00–21:00
Rivica stands on Ribarska obala in Njivice, with a shaded terrace looking toward the small port. Its history begins in 1934, when Mare and Ivan opened a boarding house in what was then a fishing village. Their hospitality business developed through successive generations, including Ivica and Vera, into the restaurant presented today. The family story remains part of its identity, alongside a kitchen that combines regional tradition with contemporary techniques. The restaurant places Krk and Kvarner at the center of its cooking. It also acknowledges influences from Venetian cuisine and the former monarchy, reflecting the different traditions that have shaped this part of the Adriatic. Local ingredients and fish caught by local fishermen guide the seasonal menus. That approach makes the changing supply of produce and seafood part of the restaurant's character, rather than treating the menu as a fixed list throughout the year. Wine is another substantial element of the experience. The house brings together bottles from local and international cellars and emphasizes matching them with the food. Guests who enjoy understanding the connection between an island and its cooking can therefore approach the meal through both the plate and the glass. The setting suits a visit built around the harbor: sit down on the terrace, explore the current seasonal selection and allow time for the meal itself. Reservations can be requested directly, making it straightforward to plan a restaurant visit as part of a trip north from Malinska.

Dobrinj 71, 51514 Dobrinj
Konoba Zora is in the heart of Dobrinj, where the island's inland streets and old stone surroundings provide a different setting from the coastal resorts. The tavern traces its beginnings to an inn opened by Nikola Fugošić in 1947. Two years later, his son Nikola married the cook Zora, and the couple took over the business. Her name became the restaurant's name, and her work helped make the island's šurlice familiar beyond Krk. Handmade pasta remains the clearest introduction to the kitchen. The house recommends šurlice with goulash, alongside Dobrinj makaruni and gnocchi with the same hearty accompaniment. Another preparation pairs šurlice with a scampi sauce, connecting the inland tavern's pasta tradition with the surrounding Adriatic. These dishes make the restaurant particularly relevant to visitors who want to explore the food associated with the island itself. For dessert, the house prepares presnoc, a traditional island sweet made with local sheep's cheese. The kitchen describes following an old recipe as a way of respecting the past. That attention to continuity links the dessert to the family history behind the restaurant. Stone walls and wooden benches contribute to the atmosphere described by the house. A meal here can be combined with a walk through Dobrinj's narrow streets and a visit to the church of Saint Stephen. Table requests go through a reservation form or the restaurant's telephone, so guests can arrange their visit directly before setting out from Malinska.

Calebotta occupies a house in Trogir's old town whose story reaches back to 1920, when Frane Calebotta built it and opened a cinema. His descendants' restaurant keeps that family name while offering three different dining settings: an interior facing the wine bar, a garden enclosed by old architecture and a front area connected to the life of the town. Dalmatian ingredients shape the food, with homemade pasta, fish and grilled meat forming the centre of the menu. A seafood starter plate combines tuna tartare, octopus carpaccio, marinated sea bass and prawns. For a smaller beginning, there is seared goat's cheese with prosciutto, honey and rosemary, or zucchini carpaccio with goat's cheese and pine nuts. Main dishes give each diner a distinct direction. Choose lamb pašticada with homemade gnocchi, tuna with aromatic polenta, or white fish in lemon sauce. Mussels in buzara sauce and grilled squid bring familiar coastal flavours, while fuži with mushrooms and dried tomatoes offer a meat-free pasta option. A fish platter for two is another choice for a shared table. Calebotta also publishes a breakfast menu, from poached eggs with bacon to yoghurt, granola and berry sauce. Children have pasta Bolognese or grilled chicken with fries, and the dessert selection includes cheesecake and crumble. The address is Gradska 23; reserve directly if you have a preferred dining area, and confirm which meal service is running at your planned arrival time.

Matije Gubca 14, 21220 Trogir
Casa Don Dino brings a contemporary Dalmatian kitchen to Matije Gubca in central Trogir. Seafood, seasonal produce, olive oil and regional herbs are the main threads of its cooking. The restaurant publishes separate brunch, lunch and à la carte menus, so it is worth choosing the service that suits the kind of meal you have in mind. The evening menu starts with recognisable local flavours: soparnik, the chard-filled Dalmatian pie, homemade focaccia and salted or marinated anchovies. Raw and cold dishes take a more elaborate direction, including tuna tartare with avocado and toasted almonds, white-fish ceviche with citrus, and oysters with lemon and pickled onion. These provide several alternatives for a light opening course. Among the signature dishes, Don Dino risotto combines sea urchin, Adriatic prawns, Pag cheese and pistachio. Octopus peka is offered for two with young potatoes and zucchini, while sea bass baked in a salt crust is another shared preparation. Guests who prefer meat can choose beef skewers, lamb or chicken with romesco; vegetarian dishes include roasted cauliflower with hummus and eggplant parmigiana. The variety makes this a useful choice when a group wants a planned dinner with different preferences around the same table. Reservations are available through the restaurant's website, with a direct telephone and email contact for discussing a particular dish or occasion. Ask about the day's availability and the appropriate menu when booking, especially if a shared fish or peka dish is central to your visit.

Gaußring 20, 86415 Mering
Taipan Mering is an Asian restaurant on Gaußring, with Chinese, Japanese and Mongolian cooking brought together in one dining room. The Mongolian grill is a central part of the offer: meat and fish are freshly fried or flambéed, giving the meal a focus on food prepared at the grill alongside the wider buffet selection. Guests can explore several culinary traditions during the same visit, choosing dishes from the buffet or ordering from the à la carte menu. The restaurant also serves a lunch selection. Its approach suits diners who enjoy putting together their own combination of Asian specialties, as well as those who prefer to choose an individual dish. Fish and meat are both part of the range, and the kitchen presents its food around traditional recipes from the three cuisines. Families are explicitly welcomed, with special menus for children and a playground for younger guests. The business is run by Wei Liu and is located at Gaußring 20 in Mering. Tables can be reserved directly by telephone, including for an evening together with friends. The restaurant asks diners to make reservations by phone. A separate contact channel is available for general messages and questions. This combination of a buffet, cooking at the Mongolian grill and à la carte ordering gives a group several ways to approach a meal while sharing the same restaurant table.

Münchener Straße 35, 86415 Mering
Restaurant Delphi brings Greek cooking to Münchener Straße in Mering, with dining rooms, a beer garden and a covered terrace. The outdoor areas offer a choice between sunshine and shelter, while a separate room can accommodate up to forty guests. A children's play area is part of the garden setting, and the restaurant also caters for private celebrations and wedding receptions. The menu starts with familiar Greek appetisers: tzatziki, tarama, spicy sheep's cheese spread, baked aubergines and courgettes, and peppers filled with cheese and garlic. A mixed grilled starter plate combines halloumi with vegetables; a vegan version is available on request with the cheese and stuffed peppers omitted. Main courses include homemade gyros, souvlaki skewers, bifteki filled with tomato and cheese, and mixed grill combinations. Oven dishes range from moussaka with aubergines, potatoes, minced pork and béchamel to lamb shank served with Greek pasta or beans. Seafood choices include calamari, sardines, salmon and mixed fish plates. Vegetarian dishes and specifically described vegan adaptations give guests alternatives beyond the grill, including Greek pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables prepared without cheese or cream. A children's menu offers smaller dishes such as gyros, pasta and fish fingers. Tables can be reserved by telephone, and food can also be ordered for collection. The combination of several seating areas and a menu spanning small plates, grilled dishes and oven cooking makes Delphi suitable for both a straightforward meal and a gathering with a larger party.

Münchener Straße 29, 86415 Mering
Restaurant Schlosserwirt occupies a longstanding inn on Münchener Straße in Mering, now connected to the family's hotel and boarding house. The building began as an inn in 1901, and the Bader family took it over in 1928. A butcher's shop and a neighbouring cinema later became part of its story; the cinema site was eventually redeveloped into the hotel and linked to the original Schlosserwirt. Today the restaurant combines that history with a modern approach to Bavarian cooking. The kitchen works with a compact menu that changes, using fresh regional and seasonal ingredients and placing particular emphasis on sustainability. Bavarian classics are reinterpreted rather than treated as a fixed list of dishes. A carefully chosen wine selection accompanies the food. Breakfast is also part of the restaurant's identity, and guests can visit without staying overnight in the hotel. Sweet and savoury choices feature in the breakfast buffet, while the restaurant also presents a table brunch under the name Gläschenliebe. Its evening programme includes sociable Stammtisch meals with cordon bleu for sharing and other favourite dishes. Selected events offer a Bavarian buffet with a large salad bar. Private celebrations and catering are arranged individually, either within the house or at an outside venue. The hotel also has seminar facilities, making the restaurant part of a broader setting for business gatherings and family occasions. For visitors, the appeal lies in the combination of an established Mering address, a family history spanning generations and a kitchen that keeps adapting its regional foundations.

Luitpoldstraße 10, 86415 Mering
Da Daniele is a pizzeria and ristorante on Luitpoldstraße in Mering, with a Mediterranean interior and an emphasis on freshly prepared homemade food. The restaurant describes a family atmosphere and pairs its cooking with a selection of wines. Pizza and pasta anchor the menu, but the choice extends to starters, soups, salads, fish, meat and desserts, allowing a table to put together anything from a single main course to a longer Italian meal. Pizzas come in two sizes, with familiar combinations such as margherita, mushroom, ham and cheese, and quattro stagioni with mushrooms, artichokes and olives. The pasta selection is particularly broad. Spaghetti can be ordered with tomato and basil, garlic and chilli, seafood, or a carbonara sauce made here with bacon, egg and cream. Penne include a mushroom and gorgonzola cream version and a spicy tomato preparation. Among the ribbon pastas are tagliatelle with porcini and rocket, salmon with vodka and tomato cream, and the house Daniele combination of prawns, tuna and cherry tomatoes. Gnocchi come with spinach and gorgonzola or with porcini and truffle oil, while wide pappardelle are paired with walnuts and gorgonzola cream. Baked dishes include both a meat lasagne and a vegetable version layered with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, béchamel and cheese. Risotto provides another route through the menu, with versions featuring prawns, porcini, mixed seafood or vegetables. This range gives the restaurant a clear Italian focus while offering several different textures and sauces beyond the pizza section.

Andechser in Mering stands on the historic market square, where the Baumüller family runs a Bavarian inn with several distinct rooms and a terrace for the warmer months. Christian Baumüller is both landlord and head chef. His cooking draws on traditional recipes while making room for contemporary interpretations and lighter dishes in a bistro style. Fresh ingredients are central to the kitchen, with regional produce preferred wherever possible. His membership in the association of speciality innkeepers in the Wittelsbacher Land reflects that connection to the surrounding agricultural area. Beer comes from the monastery brewery at Andechs, and the house also serves spirits from the monastery hill. The setting offers several ways to spend a meal, from a small gathering in a traditional room to a larger celebration upstairs. The Marktstube seats thirty-five people, the Wirtsstube twenty-five, and the gallery can accommodate up to one hundred. Outside, the beer garden terrace gives guests a place to sit in summer. Family occasions are an established part of the business, including baptisms, first communions, weddings and milestone birthdays. The team helps arrange individual menus, matching wines, printed menu cards and coordinated table decorations. For company anniversaries and other gatherings, food can take the form of a buffet, a sequence of courses or canapés, with both rustic and more elaborate approaches available by arrangement. Regular table reservations are taken by telephone. The result is a local inn whose character comes as much from its rooms and family hospitality as from its Bavarian cooking.

Konoba Dominik is a Croatian tavern on Obala kralja Tomislava in Kaštel Novi, run by hosts Dominik and Nina. Its character comes from a historic interior arranged with attention to the building's older atmosphere, together with a terrace on the first floor. The cooking follows the same balance: familiar regional dishes remain at the centre, with modern touches in their preparation and presentation. Ingredients are obtained mainly from local farmers, fishermen and regional suppliers. The kitchen keeps its selection focused on homemade specialties rather than an extensive catalogue of dishes. Starters include Dalmatian cured ham, cheeses from the island of Pag and octopus salad, alongside other salads. For a main course, the choices described by the house include marinated beef steak and roasted pork ribs. Fish comes from the fish market in Kaštela, connecting the seafood selection to the local catch. One of the tavern's particular specialties is meat or seafood prepared in the traditional peka style. These dishes cook slowly in the house's large wood oven and can be arranged by ordering ahead. They also appear as part of the restaurant's special food events. Local wines and beers accompany the cooking, with international wines and selected beers available as well. The selection can change with the season, when the kitchen may offer a smaller menu or dishes of the day. Guests who want a table on the upstairs terrace are asked to reserve by telephone in advance. The combination of a small menu, regional ingredients and a carefully preserved setting gives the tavern a clear focus on Croatian cooking.

Konoba Intrada brings seafood, pizza and traditional Dalmatian cooking together on Obala kralja Tomislava in Kaštel Novi. Its name refers to the produce of the surrounding fields, and the kitchen connects Adriatic fish with local wine, olive oil and vegetables from Kaštela family farms. The waterfront setting makes it a natural place to combine a meal with time along the coast. The menu offers several ways into that regional cooking. Begin with octopus salad, Dalmatian prosciutto or local cheese, then choose black risotto, seafood spaghetti or the house pasta with salmon and prawns. Grilled sea bass and sea bream sit alongside squid and shellfish. For two diners who want to share, the Intrada fish platter brings together several fish and seafood preparations on one order. Pizza is also a substantial part of the choice, with small, large and jumbo formats. Toppings range from the straightforward tomato, cheese and oregano combination to anchovies, mixed vegetables and the house salmon-and-prawn version. This breadth is useful when one person wants fish and another prefers pizza or a familiar pasta dish. For a more deliberate group meal, ask in advance about peka: the menu lists veal, lamb, octopus and stuffed squid cooked beneath the covered baking bell, in portions for four. Reservations can be arranged directly by phone. Published opening hours extend later from Friday to Sunday, making it worth confirming your preferred dining time when booking.

Dida is a coastal restaurant in Crikvenica with a garden terrace facing the island of Krk. Inside, an open kitchen, a large fireplace and broad windows connect the dining room with the outdoor space. Chef Damnjan Draganić's cooking brings a contemporary approach to regional ingredients, making this an option for a meal that deserves time in the day's plans. Kvarner scampi appears in several distinctive preparations. The cream soup includes cuttlefish profiteroles and herb oil, while Roman-style gnocchi is paired with scampi and black truffle. Homemade pasta is another central feature: the Dida interpretation of carbonara combines tagliatelle, Drniš prosciutto, rocket and Istrian truffle. Black cavatelli with cuttlefish ragù offers a different seafood pasta course. Main dishes range from sea-bass fillet with broad beans and lemon-almond sauce to tuna with polenta and fennel. Brudet, a fish stew with scampi and polenta, is designed for two. Beef tenderloin and veal provide alternatives, while the fish selection changes with availability. Diners can also choose a five- or eight-course tasting menu and discuss wine pairing with the team. Croatian and international wines accompany the menu, and the restaurant gives particular attention to matching olive oils with the food. Reserve directly and explain any dietary needs when arranging the meal. For visitors staying inland around Donji Zagon, this is a coastal outing to Crikvenica; plan transport accordingly and confirm the current kitchen hours before travelling.

Štacija Restaurant is part of Hotel Štacija on the seafront promenade in Kaštel Lukšić. Its terrace places the meal close to the water, while the kitchen builds on Mediterranean ingredients such as olive oil, tomatoes and fish supplied by local fishermen. The restaurant is useful for an evening out along the Kaštela coast, with a seasonal à la carte service and a separate year-round bar offer. The dinner menu moves from sea bass carpaccio and prawn tartare to pasta with smoked mussels, cuttlefish ragù and prawn risotto. A traditional seafood stew comes with squid-ink pasta, while sea bass fillet and Adriatic tuna provide other fish choices. Zucchini carpaccio, pesto pasta with semi-dried tomatoes and a bulgur-and-vegetable bowl give the menu a vegetable-focused side. Meat dishes include dry-aged ribeye, beef Wellington and pork cheeks prepared in the style of pašticada with homemade gnocchi. If you would like a shared peka meal, contact the restaurant ahead: veal and octopus versions require advance ordering and a minimum of four portions. Whole fish from the grill also needs to be pre-ordered. The wine selection offers a way to explore nearby producers, including Kaštela Maraština, Pošip and Crljenak. Plan around the restaurant's distinct service times: à la carte dinner runs from April through October, while breakfast, desserts and sweet or savoury bar food remain available through the year. The booking form and telephone contact allow you to confirm the menu and terrace arrangements before visiting.

Baletna Škola sits among pine trees a few metres from the sea in Kaštel Kambelovac. The name remembers a distinctive part of the site's history: prima ballerina Ana Roje founded an international ballet school here in 1953. Today the restaurant pairs that coastal setting with a broad menu rooted in Dalmatian and Mediterranean cooking. Seafood choices include grilled fish, squid, prawns and mussels prepared in buzara sauce. Two diners can share a grilled seafood platter with fish, scampi, squid and chard, or choose the fried platter of prawns, squid and small fish. These are helpful options when you want a shared meal with several textures instead of choosing a single fish dish. The grill menu is equally substantial, covering lamb, chicken, steaks, ćevapi and stuffed pljeskavica. There are named meat platters for two, alongside dishes such as chicken in gorgonzola sauce with gnocchi. Pizza provides another route through the menu: simple tomato and cheese, vegetable toppings, prawns and more generous combinations are available, including jumbo sizes. Families have a separate children's selection with smaller ćevapi portions, chicken schnitzel and familiar pasta dishes. For something more traditional, ask what is being prepared for the day's marenda; the menu lists cooked lunch dishes such as beans, stews and pašticada. Peka appears among the special preparations, so discuss availability when reserving. Desserts include rožata, pancakes and cakes, giving a mixed group plenty of choice from the first course to the last.

Admiral is the restaurant at Marina Novi, with a covered terrace looking towards Krk on one side and Novi Vinodolski's old town on the other. The kitchen draws on the Croatian coast while offering enough variety for guests arriving from a day on the water or meeting for dinner in town. Indoor tables provide an alternative when the terrace is less appealing. Seafood choices include black cuttlefish risotto, scampi risotto, prawns with pljukanci pasta and grilled squid with chard. A whole grilled sea bass is offered for two, while wild fish depends on availability. Tuna steak comes with ratatouille vegetables, and crispy octopus is paired with mashed potato and spicy mayonnaise. These are useful starting points for a meal built around the sea. The menu extends to beef tartare, steaks, burgers and several pizzas. Vegetarian choices include four-cheese gnocchi, while a vegan bowl combines seasonal vegetables, couscous, smoked tofu and a tahini-orange dressing. For dessert, consider pancakes, the daily cake or a sweet selection for two. Guests who need gluten-free pasta or bread should ask the team before ordering. The wine selection includes Pavlomir, a producer closely connected with the nearby Vinodol vineyards. Admiral also accommodates celebrations and organised groups, with seating both inside and under cover outside. Contact the marina restaurant directly to reserve a table and discuss any group meal. Confirm kitchen times if planning an early arrival or a late dinner.

Antika in Novi Vinodolski brings Croatian, Italian and Mediterranean cooking together in a restaurant with both outdoor seating and an air-conditioned interior. The broad choice of meal times makes it useful for visitors whose day does not fit neatly around an early lunch or a fixed dinner reservation. Fish and cheese are among the foods highlighted by the kitchen, while pancakes and other desserts provide a sweet finish or a shorter stop between meals. Ask about the day's preparations when you arrive, especially if you want a particular fish dish. The restaurant also offers vegetarian and vegan choices, giving mixed groups a reason to consider it when not everyone wants the same style of meal. For guests with dietary requirements, Antika advertises gluten-free and lactose-free options. Nava has been part of Novi Vinodolski's restaurant scene since 2009. Pizza remains at the centre of its identity, but the menu also covers seafood, pasta, grilled meat and cakes. With a large dining capacity and experience hosting celebrations, it suits both an ordinary holiday meal and a gathering that needs some advance organisation. The pizza list moves from Margherita and mushroom toppings to combinations with Croatian cured meats, seafood and vegetables. The house Nava pizza combines mushrooms, prosciutto, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. A Marinara keeps to tomato, garlic and oregano, while the Novljanska adds prawns, rocket, cherry tomatoes and garlic. This variety makes it easy to choose between a familiar pizza and one with a coastal accent. Guests who prefer another dish can consider fuži in truffle sauce, seafood risotto, monkfish in white wine or a fish platter for two. A vegan vegetable plate and mushroom risotto sit alongside vegetarian pasta choices. The children's section includes tomato spaghetti, breaded chicken, turkey and a grilled meat patty. Cakes change with the daily selection, and the restaurant's pastry team also prepares cakes to order. Nava offers delivery and a separate catering service, useful when a group wants to eat at its accommodation or arrange a celebration elsewhere. Telephone to discuss the delivery area or a larger booking. Winter opening times differ from the summer schedule, particularly on Tuesdays and Sundays, so check the day's service before setting out.

The menu gives space to Vinodol specialities, grilled meat and dishes cooked under the peka, alongside fish and pasta. The grill includes beef, turkey and pork, with distinctive combinations such as pork tenderloin filled with pancetta, cheese and dried figs. Some of Studec's most substantial dishes need planning.
