When is the best time to visit Spain for a holiday rental?
July and August are hottest and busiest along the coasts and islands. Late spring (May–June) and early autumn (September–October) offer warm weather with fewer crowds and better rental value, while the Canary Islands stay mild and sunny all year, making them ideal for winter sun.
Which region suits families versus couples or nightlife?
Families tend to prefer the calmer costas and Menorca for gentle beaches and villas with pools. Couples and culture lovers enjoy Andalusia, Barcelona, Madrid and Seville, while Ibiza and the larger cities are the go-to for nightlife.
Do I need a car, or can I get around another way?
It depends on the region. Cities like Barcelona, Madrid and Seville have excellent metro and high-speed AVE train links, so no car is needed. On the costas, the islands and rural Andalusia, a hire car gives far more flexibility. Ferries and short flights connect the islands.
