The house calls itself a waterfront seafood restaurant and keeps the description honest: fresh seafood, produce, hand-cut steaks, salads and sandwiches, served in a dining room and, for most people who come here, on the open-air terrace over the water. Boats go in and out of the marina channel through the whole meal, and the restaurant points out that guests regularly watch the wildlife of the bay from their table, which is a fair description of a place built on the edge of Biscayne National Park rather than a claim about the food. Live bands play here, and the kitchen keeps long hours by South Florida standards: open at eleven every day of the week, and on Friday and Saturday until midnight. The mix on the menu is the local one, seafood alongside steak and a sandwich list, so a table of four rarely has to argue. For anyone staying in Cutler Bay it is the closest thing the town has to a proper evening out without driving north into Miami, and the ten minutes it takes to get there end at the water rather than in a car park on the highway.
