Gostionica Dalmacija stands on Sv. Jurja in Starigrad-Paklenica, just a few steps from the sea. The restaurant places itself five meters from the shoreline and fifty meters from the town center, giving a meal here a close connection to the waterfront. Its cooking follows a broad Dalmatian tavern approach, combining seafood with familiar meat dishes, pasta and simple starters. Dalmatian prosciutto and a cold meat selection begin the menu, while tomato soup and fish soup offer warmer alternatives. Pasta includes spaghetti with meat sauce or tomato sauce, and the seafood starters feature squid risotto and mussels prepared in white buzara sauce. The fish selection ranges from sea bass and sea bream to grilled mackerel, tuna and John Dory fillet. Squid can be ordered fried or grilled, and scampi appear alongside a mixed fish dish intended for two people.
