La Table des Gouverneurs

La Table des Gouverneurs is the restaurant of Hôtel des Gouverneurs in Bastia’s citadel, overlooking the Old Port and the Mediterranean. It welcomes visitors as well as hotel residents. Seafood choices include sea bass with grilled vegetables and octopus paired with Iberian chorizo and chickpea piperade. Desserts range from a chocolate creation to an apricot tartlet with rosemary, black sesame and meringue. Another option combines vanilla ice cream, canistrelli, almonds, coffee and whipped cream. Corsican cheeses with fig jam provide a savory finish. The wine list includes bottles from Corsica and mainland France, while the hotel bar develops cocktails around fresh ingredients and spirits from small distilleries.
