Head west and the island unfolds into a string of coves: Grote Knip and neighbouring Kenepa with their luminous turquoise water, calm snorkelling bays like Playa Lagun, and the palm-fringed sand of Cas Abao. The far west around Westpunt reaches Christoffel National Park and the wave-battered inlets of Shete Boka. Divers come for the leeward coast's famous shore diving, where reefs and wrecks drop away just steps from the beach.
