Red’s Soda Fountain & Ice Cream brings a nostalgic soda shop experience to Court Avenue in downtown Sevierville. The present shop pays tribute to Red’s Cafe, the former business across the street that Dolly Parton visited as a child. Its own character centres on hand mixed drinks, ice cream and the pleasure of choosing something at the fountain. Scoops come in a dish, a cake cone or a waffle cone made in house. Flavours include vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, butter pecan, espresso and amaretto chocolate chip, with seasonal varieties joining the selection. The menu also identifies a lactose free salted caramel option. Beyond a simple scoop, there are sundaes finished with whipped cream, a cherry and a choice of toppings, plus a warm brownie version and banana splits. Milkshakes and malts can combine flavours, and specialty combinations include an Elvis, a PB&J and an Espresso Turtle. Hand mixed phosphates give the soda side of the business equal attention. Root beer, sarsaparilla, grape, cream soda and fruit flavours appear among the choices, while flights allow several tastes together.
