Aku Aku Mojácar

Aku Aku is a beach restaurant at Playa del Cantal, combining Mediterranean cooking with a tradition of live music beside the sand. Rice is a particular focus, although the menu extends across salads, raw seafood, grilled fish, fried fish and meat. Raw preparations feature salmon with mango aguachile and red tuna tartare with coconut ajoblanco. From the grill come sardines, cuttlefish, tuna and a monkfish and prawn skewer, while the fried fish section includes anchovies and squid. Meat choices include the house burger, chicken and Iberian pork. Homemade desserts range from cheesecake and lemon meringue pie to chocolate mousse with olive oil and salt. Guests can reserve a table directly with the restaurant. Food and music give Aku Aku its two main identities, bringing a rice restaurant and a seaside concert venue together.
