Corso Alcide De Gasperi 23, 80053 Castellammare di Stabia
Piazzetta Milù is the Izzo family's restaurant on Corso Alcide De Gasperi in Castellammare di Stabia. Michele and Lucia began the business as a pizzeria in 2003, and their sons have since developed it into a restaurant built around exploration and a single surprise tasting menu. Maicol leads the kitchen, Valerio manages the dining room, and Emanuele looks after the cellar. Their different responsibilities shape an experience that moves through several spaces within the restaurant. The kitchen is fully visible, while the old cellar occupies the foundations of the building and holds wines gathered from around the world. A small organic plot in Schito supplies vegetables, aromatic herbs, fruit and eggs. The menu, called Evoluzione, changes six times a year, drawing on the season and the family's travels and experiences. Neither the dishes nor the number of courses is announced beforehand, so the meal is intended to unfold through discovery. An optional drinks pairing extends beyond wine to include combinations drawn from Champagne, cocktails, beer, tea, sake, spirits and drinks made in house. Guests are asked to communicate food dislikes, intolerances and allergies when reserving. The restaurant cannot provide menus for guests who cannot consume gluten or lactose, and some menus are unsuitable for vegetarian or vegan diets. Reservations can be made online or by telephone, with separate email enquiries for larger tables and private events.

Via Masseria Curato 2, 80045 Pompei
Caupona connects a meal in modern Pompei with the food and surroundings of the ancient city. Established in April 2016, the restaurant takes its name from the taverns where Pompeians once gathered to eat. Hand painted frescoes, warm lighting, solid wooden tables and terracotta dishes establish the setting, and wine can be served in small amphorae or traditional cups. Guests can also wear clothing inspired by Roman senators and matrons. The cooking follows two distinct directions. Historical menus explore ingredients and preparations associated with ancient Rome, while a contemporary menu offers Mediterranean dishes with a more familiar structure. The ancient selection includes several named five course menus, and separate land and sea tasting experiences provide a longer sequence of dishes. On the contemporary side, pasta includes mezzopaccheri with clams and Neapolitan friggitelli peppers, or tagliolini with Amalfi lemon cream, red prawn and bisque. Main dishes range from amberjack with cannellini beans and wild herbs to lamb shank with mushrooms and nduja. Beef braised in Falerno wine provides another connection with the surrounding region. Desserts include babà, ricotta and pear, tiramisu and a lemon filled with sorbet. There is an indoor dining room and an outdoor garden, giving the restaurant more than one setting for its archaeological theme. Caupona also organizes theatrical dining experiences inspired by classical stories and Roman life. Tables can be requested through the restaurant's own reservation form.

Piazza Schettini 12, 80045 Pompei
Mon–Tue Closed; Wed–Sat 12:00–15:00, 19:00–23:30; Sun 12:00–15:00
Ristorante President stands on Piazza Schettini in central Pompei, close to the archaeological excavations and the sanctuary. Its dining spaces combine carefully controlled lighting with distinctive furnishings, creating an intimate setting for a meal built around composed dishes and tasting menus. The kitchen's published selection brings together ingredients associated with Campania and combinations that reach further afield. Paolo Gramaglia's quiet egg pairs a gently cooked egg with Silano caciocavallo fondue, peppers and crumbled Neapolitan tarallo. A mixed pasta preparation draws its flavor from crustaceans, seaweed and seafood, while another pasta dish combines broad fusilli with bottarga, prawns and lemon. Fish appears in several forms: amberjack marinated with lime and passion fruit, grouper with tubers and ginger, and red mullet matched with lemon and beetroot. Meat dishes include pork belly with broccoli rabe and a sweet and sour sauce, alongside beef accompanied by Neapolitan papaccelle peppers and zucchini prepared in the scapece style. The dessert selection continues the interplay between local references and unexpected combinations, with an Amalfi lemon sphere and a reinterpretation of Neapolitan pastiera among the published examples. Several tasting routes are offered, and each tasting menu is intended for the whole table. Guests can also assemble a shorter selection from the dishes, including dessert. Wine can be chosen from the cellar list, or the sommelier can arrange a pairing to accompany the meal. The restaurant publishes separate lists for wines by the glass, dessert wines and spirits.

Via Sacra 50, 80045 Pompei
La Bettola del Gusto is a restaurant on Via Sacra in central Pompei, with a kitchen that places Campanian ingredients and family food traditions at the center of its work. The restaurant presents itself as an intimate place for guests who enjoy both familiar regional flavors and more imaginative combinations. Its dining room is designed to balance privacy with the sociability of eating together, providing a considered setting for a meal in the modern town. The culinary approach gives particular attention to the changing seasons and to the selection of fresh ingredients. Fish, meat and pasta all form part of the offer, and bread is made in house. The kitchen team describes hospitality as a daily effort to understand what guests need and to express the food culture of Naples and the surrounding region through the meal. This connection with place also extends to wine. A broad cellar brings together local bottles with wines from elsewhere in Italy and abroad, allowing different combinations with the kitchen's preparations. The restaurant's account of its work emphasizes learning through experience, preserving knowledge passed down within the family and continuing to develop new ideas. Its association with Slow Food is another expression of that attention to ingredients and regional food culture. For visitors exploring Pompei, the restaurant offers a setting in which the modern town's culinary identity can become part of the visit. Table requests can be submitted through the restaurant's reservation form, after which the staff contacts guests to confirm the booking.

Viale Giuseppe Mazzini 63/65, 80045 Pompei
Garum Ristorante Enoteca brings together a restaurant, a wine selection and an interest in the long food history of Pompei. Founder Fioravante Iovine opened Garum in 2011 after working in hospitality in Pompei and on the Amalfi Coast. His approach starts with Campania and extends across Italy, connecting contemporary cooking with the agricultural and culinary inheritance of the region. The restaurant describes its work as a form of exploration through layers of local history, with particular attention to seasonal ingredients and artisan production. Its published seafood starters include tuna tartare with shellfish, salt cured salmon with caramelized onion and yogurt foam, and sliced octopus with escarole and toasted almonds. Prawns are paired with mozzarella, tomatoes and olives, while another preparation combines cannellini beans with seafood. These dishes illustrate a kitchen that places the sea alongside ingredients familiar from the surrounding countryside. Wine is a substantial part of Garum's identity. Alongside its restaurant service, the business operates an enoteca and an online selection of food and wine products. It also presents its own Vinum Pompeianum labels, a red made with Piedirosso and a white made with Falanghina, linking the project to the wine traditions of the Vesuvian area. The dining atmosphere is conceived as relaxed and carefully maintained, with staff helping guests navigate the available experiences. Tables can be reserved online, and the restaurant provides a separate enquiry route for private events.
